A Seattle man, identified as 33-year-old David Crowe, has been ordered to be held without bail after being arrested three times in front of pop star Taylor Swift's home in Manhattan's Tribeca neighborhood. Crowe, who has been accused of stalking and harassing Swift, was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court on a misdemeanor charge of second-degree criminal contempt.

According to the Manhattan District Attorney's office, Crowe violated a protective order issued on Wednesday, which mandated him to stay away from Swift and her residence, as well as refrain from any communication with her. Prosecutors stated that Crowe had been spotted near the singer's home approximately 30 times since November 25 last year.

Crowe's repeated attempts to approach Swift's residence caused concerns among neighbors, with one resident describing Crowe as frequently sitting on the doorstep, chain-smoking, and claiming to be there to see Swift. Some neighbors even reported seeing him look inside a dumpster near Swift's apartment, prompting a 911 call from concerned residents.

On Wednesday, Crowe was initially charged with stalking in the fourth-degree and harassment in the first- and second-degrees. Despite being released under supervision by a Manhattan judge, he was apprehended once again shortly afterward near Swift's residence. Following these incidents, Crowe has now been ordered to undergo a psychiatric examination.

Crowe's attorney from the public defender's office did not provide any comment when contacted by the Associated Press. The Seattle man's actions have raised serious concerns among law enforcement and community members, leading to increased precautions and protective measures for Swift's safety.

This alarming series of events reflects the significance of addressing and preventing stalking and harassment cases, particularly involving high-profile individuals. Legal proceedings are underway, as authorities work to ensure the safety and well-being of Taylor Swift, as well as protect her from further incidents.
