In a recent turn of events, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has responded to former mentor Aaron Rodgers' offer to sell his Wisconsin home. Love, who recently signed a lucrative contract extension worth $220 million, jokingly declined Rodgers' proposal but stated he would ensure the property is well taken care of.

During an interview with NFL Network, Love agreed with analyst Steve Smith's jest that Rodgers should give him a "hometown discount" for the house. Love playfully responded, saying, "Nah, man, A-Rod, I won't be buying your house, but I'll go check on it, make sure it's well taken care of. But yeah, if you wanna hit me up with a deal..."

Rodgers initially made the offer to Love while congratulating him on becoming the highest-paid player in the NFL. In his own NFL Network interview a day earlier, Rodgers said, "J-Love, don't spend it all in one place. But if you do, I still have a house that's in Green Bay that's up for sale."

This exchange comes as no surprise, as Rodgers has been publicly supportive of Love since his arrival in Green Bay. Love, who was drafted in the first round by the Packers in 2020, spent three seasons as Rodgers' backup before getting his chance as the full-time starter in 2023.

With his new contract, Love will earn an average of $55 million per year, tying him with Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow for the highest-paid player at any position in the league. On the other hand, Rodgers, who now plays for the New York Jets after being traded last offseason, is set to earn an average of $37.5 million per year, following an injury-ridden 2023 season.

While Love may not be interested in purchasing Rodgers' Wisconsin home, it is clear that the bond between the two quarterbacks remains strong. As Love embarks on his journey as the Packers' franchise quarterback, he can rely on Rodgers' guidance and support from afar.

With the upcoming season on the horizon, fans eagerly await Love's performance as he steps into the spotlight, hoping to continue the Packers' winning legacy.
