**Aaron Rodgers' Contract Details Revealed**

Aaron Rodgers won't be playing for just $10 million this season, contradicting his earlier statements. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, Rodgers has signed a one-year contract with a maximum value of $19.5 million. The base salary is set at $13.65 million, with $10 million guaranteed.

Although Rodgers claims he's playing for $10 million, the reality is different. He's actually set to earn $13.65 million, with an additional $5.85 million tied to playtime and team performance incentives. The specifics of these incentives are not yet available, making it unclear how attainable the full $19.5 million figure is.

Importantly, the entire base amount is virtually guaranteed, particularly due to a labor deal stipulation that any non-guaranteed salary becomes fully guaranteed by Week 1. Therefore, the only scenario where Rodgers would earn just $10 million is if he were cut before the start of the season, which is highly unlikely.

For context, this contract makes Rodgers the second lowest-paid starting quarterback on a non-rookie deal, with only Giants quarterback Russell Wilson earning less. Though Wilson could potentially earn more through incentives, the conditions are stringent, including the Giants needing to go undefeated with a 17-0 record. Conversely, it’s a safe bet that the Steelers won't need to go 17-0 for Rodgers to hit his maximum incentive-laden salary of $19.5 million.
