**49ers Secure Win Against Seahawks Despite Injury to Jordan Mason**

The San Francisco 49ers clinched an important victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night, but their success came with a few setbacks. Running back Jordan Mason suffered a left shoulder injury during the second quarter of the game, which the 49ers won 36-24 against their NFC West rivals. Mason attempted to play in the second half but was unable to continue due to the discomfort, ultimately spending the remainder of the game on the sidelines."

"Head coach Kyle Shanahan, in a postgame interview, explained that Mason initially believed he could return to the action. "He thought he was going to be all right," Shanahan remarked. "He went back in and it just hurt him too much, so he went out." Shanahan also noted that Mason could have reentered the game in an emergency situation, although that did not necessarily indicate a lack of serious injury. "You never know," Shanahan said. "Adrenaline during games is a little bit different. We'll find out more [on Friday] when that's down and get the X-rays and stuff."

Mason had a notable performance before his injury, rushing for 65 yards on eight attempts. His injury occurred after an impressive 14-yard rush, during which he landed hard on his left shoulder. Mason remained on the ground for several minutes before getting up and heading straight to the locker room for an X-ray.

Isaac Guerendo, a rookie fourth-round pick from Louisville, stepped in to replace Mason following the injury. Mason had assumed the role of primary running back for the 49ers at the start of the season when All-Pro Christian McCaffrey had to step away to deal with bilateral Achilles tendinitis.

Mason, a standout from Georgia Tech, has been a notable surprise this season. He amassed 536 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 105 carries in the first five weeks, ranking second in the NFL in rushing yards behind Derrick Henry of the Baltimore Ravens as of Week 5.
