NFL Veteran Chris Conley Retires After Decade-Long Career

Conley, who entered the league as a third-round draft pick in 2015, revealed his retirement plans on Instagram, celebrating his achievement of a decade-long career goal. Last season, he was part of the San Francisco 49ers' roster, contributing with six catches for 76 yards, in addition to his special teams efforts which included two tackles and a fumble recovery.
In his heartfelt message, Conley expressed a desire to embark on a new journey. His agent disclosed that the former player will be attending film school at the University of Georgia, where Conley previously showcased his football talents during his college years. This marks a significant transition from his life on the gridiron to the academic pursuits of filmmaking.
Throughout his NFL tenure, Conley played for multiple teams. He was initially drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs, spending four seasons with them. Subsequently, he had a two-year stint with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He also suited up for the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans before wrapping up his career with the 49ers. Over 132 regular season games, Conley recorded 226 catches for 2,998 yards and scored 15 touchdowns.
