**Former Cowboys Cornerback Kelvin Joseph Arrested for DWI and Fatal Crash**
Kelvin Joseph, a former cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys, was arrested following a tragic accident early Saturday morning. Joseph faces charges of driving while intoxicated and involvement in a collision that resulted in injury or death, according to multiple reports.
Richardson police responded to a motorcycle crash on a highway in the Dallas area shortly before 5 a.m. The crash claimed the life of 27-year-old motorcyclist Cody Morris, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
At approximately 5:39 a.m., Joseph contacted the Plano Police Department, reporting his involvement in a crash. Investigations by Richardson police revealed that Joseph's vehicle was involved in the collision with Morris's motorcycle. Upon interacting with Joseph, officers noticed signs of intoxication and took him into custody. He was held at the Richardson City Jail on Saturday afternoon, awaiting a judge's decision on bail.
Joseph, drafted in the second round by the Cowboys in 2021, had a brief NFL career that included stints with the Dolphins, Seahawks, and Colts. Last season, he appeared in two games for the Colts, contributing in 36 special teams snaps.
