Green Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave showed immense toughness in Sunday's victory over the Chargers as he played through a lacerated kidney that landed him in the hospital after the game. According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, Musgrave is now resting at home and being closely monitored.

Rapoport reported that Musgrave will not be able to travel, resulting in his absence from Green Bay's Thanksgiving Day contest in Detroit. The player's status for future games is yet to be determined.

Fortunately, Musgrave's injury did not require surgery. Nevertheless, his resilience impressed coach Matt LaFleur, who praised his player's toughness during a press conference on Tuesday. LaFleur acknowledged that Musgrave had silently endured the injury throughout the entire game before alerting head athletic trainer Bryan Engel when the pain became unbearable.

LaFleur spoke highly of the young talent, stating that Musgrave has the potential to become a dynamic player in the league. The coach also emphasized that although his absence will be a significant blow to the offense, the team will rely on other players to step up and seize the opportunities presented to them.

Musgrave sustained the injury during Sunday's game but continued playing until the end before expressing his discomfort. In his first season, the second-round pick has already made an impact with 33 catches for 341 yards and one touchdown in 10 games.

With Musgrave now on injured reserve, rookies Tucker Kraft and Ben Sims will be called upon to fill the void on Green Bay's depth chart. They will be relied upon for the next four games, at the very least, as the team navigates Musgrave's absence.

The Packers organization and fans alike will be eagerly awaiting updates on Musgrave's recovery and potential return to the field. In the meantime, the team will rally around their injured teammate and look to maintain their winning momentum as they face upcoming challenges.
