However, after weeks of conflicting reports regarding his health status, Foxx took to Instagram on May 3, 2023, to assure his supporters that he was in the process of healing and expressed his gratitude for their support.

During Foxx's recovery, his celebrity friends, including Tracy Morgan, Taraji P. Henson, Kerry Washington, and LeBron James, took to social media to send him well-wishes and hope for a speedy recovery.

Foxx's daughter, Corinne, also debunked rumors about her father's health, dismissing a report that suggested he was "preparing for the worst" amid his mystery illness. On May 12, Corinne shared an update on her Instagram Story, stating that her father had been out of the hospital for weeks and was recuperating at home.
