This update aims to address a total of 75 security vulnerabilities, ensuring enhanced protection for users' personal information and data.

The Galaxy A52s, which recently received the Android 14/One UI 6 update, is now receiving a follow-up update in select markets, including India and other countries in the Indian subcontinent. With firmware version A528BXXS5FWL4, this update includes the latest security patch alongside the December 2023 security enhancements.

The December patch encompasses fixes for 54 security vulnerabilities affecting all Android devices, along with additional vulnerabilities specific to Samsung's software. Notably, four vulnerabilities discovered in certain Exynos chips are not applicable to the Galaxy A52s, as it is equipped with a Snapdragon chip worldwide.

To check for the latest update on their Galaxy A52s, users can navigate to the Settings menu, select Software update, and tap the Download and install option. Alternatively, users can upgrade their devices using the full-sized firmware available in the archives, following a procedure involving a Windows PC and a USB cable.

With regards to future updates, the Galaxy A52s is eligible for three generations of Android OS upgrades, meaning it will not receive future versions of Android. However, it is likely to receive the upcoming One UI 6.1 update in the coming year, after which it will solely be eligible for security updates.

While the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update is gradually reaching Samsung's other devices, older phones like the Galaxy S20 FE are receiving the latest security update to bolster device reliability and protection. In the US, the Galaxy S20 FE 5G is currently receiving the December 2023 security update.

Furthermore, carrier-locked versions of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 received the Android 14 update in the US, and now the factory-unlocked versions of these foldable devices are also getting the much-awaited update.

Expanding the scope, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is now receiving the December 2023 security update in multiple regions, following its initial release in the US. This update aims to strengthen the device's security measures, ensuring a safe and secure user experience.

Samsung remains committed to providing timely security updates to its customers. With its One UI 6 rollout and dedication to fixing vulnerabilities, the company aims to ensure the utmost safety and reliability across its extensive range of smartphones and tablets.

As the year comes to a close, Samsung users can expect ongoing efforts to maintain and improve device security, fostering a seamless and protected mobile experience.
