In an exciting development for NFL fans, it has been confirmed that former Tennessee Titans head coach, Mike Vrabel, has found a new role with an NFL club for the upcoming 2024 season. According to reports from CBS Sports, Vrabel will be joining the Cleveland Browns as a coaching and personnel consultant.

Vrabel, who hails from the Akron area and played college football at Ohio State, has strong ties to the Buckeye State. Prior to his NFL career, Vrabel served as a coach at Ohio State, working with linebackers and the defensive line from 2011 to 2013.

Joining a coaching staff led by head coach Kevin Stefanski, Vrabel will contribute his wealth of experience and expertise to the Browns organization. The Browns are entering the 2024 season fresh off an 11-6 record but faced a disappointing loss to the Houston Texans on Super Wild Card Weekend.

While Vrabel's tenure with the Titans ended on a sour note, with a 6-11 season in 2023 resulting in his departure, his overall performance with the team was largely positive. During his six-year stint, the Titans saw success, including two playoff appearances and a memorable run in the 2019 season. That year, the Titans shocked the football world by defeating Tom Brady and the Patriots in the wild card round, followed by an upset victory over Lamar Jackson and the Ravens to secure a spot in the AFC Championship game.

Vrabel's coaching experience also includes a stint with the Houston Texans, where he served as the linebackers coach from 2014 to 2016 before being promoted to defensive coordinator in 2017.

His decision to join the Browns in a consultant role follows a trend among former head coaches accepting smaller positions. Brian Flores, formerly the head coach of the Miami Dolphins, recently accepted an assistant position with the Pittsburgh Steelers before becoming the Minnesota Vikings' defensive coordinator a year later.
