The Tennessee Titans were back on the practice field on Wednesday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park as they continued their preparations for the highly anticipated season opener against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. However, one notable absence during the stretching session was safety Jamal Adams, who is currently dealing with a hip injury.

A positive development for the Titans was the return of wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to practice. Hopkins had been sidelined since July 31 due to a knee injury and had missed all three preseason games. Listed as limited on the team's first Injury Report of the season, Hopkins took the field and participated in practice. Head coach Brian Callahan expressed his satisfaction with Hopkins' progress, praising his communication and dedication to getting ready for game action.

Meanwhile, quarterback Will Levis put an end to speculation about a potential number change, affirming his love for wearing no. 8. Levis, who had previously donned no. 7 during his time at Kentucky, stated during his media availability that he has no plans to switch numbers.

Injury-wise, safety Jamal Adams was the only Titans player who did not practice on Wednesday. He was nursing a hip injury and his status for Sunday's game remains uncertain. Linebacker Otis Reese, recovering from a concussion, was limited in practice.

On the other side, the Chicago Bears released their first Injury Report, which revealed several players listed as limited participants. Wide receiver Keenan Allen (heel), offensive linemen Kiran Amegadjie (quad) and Ryan Bates (shoulder), running back Roschon Johnson (toe), as well as defensive linemen Zacch Pickens (groin) and Montez Sweat (toe) were all listed as limited.

In addition to the on-field activities, the Titans also opened their locker room for interviews, giving media members the opportunity to speak with players directly. This marked a change from previous practices where interviews were conducted either on the practice field or at podiums.

With the season opener just around the corner, the Titans are making strides in their preparations. The return of DeAndre Hopkins provides a boost to their receiving corps as they aim to start the season on a strong note. However, the status of Jamal Adams will be closely monitored in the coming days as the team finalizes their game plan.
