In a tragic incident on Monday morning, two victims and a suspected shooter have been reported dead following a shooting at a law office in Summerlin, Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to the incident, which occurred at a building housing City National Bank on West Charleston Boulevard near Pavilion Center Drive.

According to witnesses, the shooting took place inside a law office within the bank's building. The victims, a man and a woman, have been identified, but their relationship to each other and the shooter remains unclear.

During a press conference, the Las Vegas police confirmed that there is "no ongoing threat" to the community. The building has been fully evacuated as of 1:00 p.m., ensuring the safety of the surrounding area. Local schools, which were briefly placed on a soft lockdown, have since resumed normal operations.

Eyewitnesses described the chaotic scene as numerous emergency vehicles, including police cars and fire trucks, rushed to the location. Benjamin Lieff, who was under lockdown at a nearby WeWork location, explained, "We saw a lot of cop cars rush into the parking lot, and then fire trucks came... We just knew there was something pretty serious."

Paris Werly, a friend of an employee in the law office, shared that she had contacted the staff once news of the shooting broke. She stated, "Thankfully, they were okay, they were hiding... They were hiding on the 3rd floor while the shooting was on the 5th floor."

While the suspect's identity has not been disclosed, the police have confirmed that the suspect was not killed by law enforcement and may have taken their own life. Investigators are still piecing together the events leading up to the incident.

The immediate area surrounding Pavilion Center Drive and Charleston Boulevard was temporarily closed, although Charleston Boulevard has since reopened in both directions. Nearby businesses have not been placed on lockdown, according to reports.

Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the shooting to contact (702) 455-AIDE (2433) instead of calling 911. The investigation, still ongoing, will provide further updates as more details emerge.

This tragic shooting serves as a stark reminder of the need for continued efforts to prevent such incidents and ensure the safety of communities.
