Rising rapper NBA YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, has been arrested yet again, this time by the Cache County Sheriff's Office in Utah. The Baton Rouge artist, who has been living under house arrest in Utah while facing felony gun charges, was taken into custody on Tuesday evening.

According to official records, Gaulden faces a total of 20 counts each of procuring or attempting to procure drugs/prescription, forgery, identity fraud, possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, possession of controlled substances, and pattern of unlawful activity.

Gaulden's attorney, James Manasseh, stated that he is still gathering details about the arrest and is not able to provide immediate comment. The Cache County Sheriff's Office has also declined to release additional information regarding Gaulden's arrest.

Prior to his recent arrest, the 24-year-old rapper was residing in his compound in Utah, awaiting trial in Baton Rouge for a federal weapons case. He had been living under house arrest due to a previous felony gun charge, with another similar charge being dismissed by a judge in March.

The charges against Gaulden stem from a 2020 music video shoot that took place near an abandoned lot on Chippewa Street. Baton Rouge police responded to a tip about individuals possessing firearms and subsequently apprehended Gaulden and 15 others.

Furthermore, Gaulden had previously faced two attempted first-degree murder charges relating to a November 2016 drive-by shooting on Kentucky Street. One of the charges was later dismissed, and the other was reduced to aggravated assault with a firearm. In August 2017, Gaulden, who was 17 years old at the time, received a suspended 10-year prison term along with three years of active supervised probation for his involvement in the shooting.

As NBA YoungBoy's legal troubles continue to mount, his fans and the music industry alike await further updates on his ongoing case.
