The arrest occurred early Saturday morning, just before 2 a.m. Jones faces several charges: public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and assaulting an officer.

The specific circumstances leading to Jones' arrest remain unclear, and details about the location of the incident have not been disclosed. It has been confirmed, however, that officers from the Covington Police Department were responsible for taking Jones into custody.

Jones is not a stranger to legal troubles. Earlier this year, he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after a disruption at the Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport. For that incident, he had originally been detained on charges including alcohol intoxication, disorderly conduct, and making terroristic threats, following his removal from a United flight.

Jones is scheduled to appear in court this Monday at 8:30 a.m. The outcome of this latest legal issue remains to be seen, adding another chapter to the tumultuous off-field history of the former NFL player.
