In the final stretch before the presidential election on November 5, Democratic nominee and Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to hold an event in Ann Arbor on Monday, accompanied by her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, and singer-songwriter Maggie Rogers. The Harris campaign made this announcement on Friday, highlighting their focus on engaging younger voters in this crucial battleground state.

Ann Arbor, the location chosen for this event, is home to the University of Michigan, suggesting a strategic move to appeal to college-age voters. This demographic is seen as pivotal in the upcoming election. Singer-songwriter Maggie Rogers, who released her latest album, "Don't Forget Me," this year, could add further appeal to young voters.

Harris has been heavily campaigning in Michigan, recognizing its importance in the electoral map. She dedicated last Friday to three different events in the state, followed by a campaign stop last Saturday in southeastern Michigan where she was joined by rapper Lizzo. Earlier this week, Harris collaborated with Republican ex-U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney in Oakland County, and she will be campaigning alongside former First Lady Michelle Obama in Kalamazoo on Saturday.

Former President Donald Trump is also placing significant emphasis on Michigan. His recent campaign activities include multiple events last Friday and another rally in Traverse City. On Saturday, Trump will be making an appearance in Novi.

The Harris campaign has significantly incorporated entertainment figures into their rally events. This week in Detroit, rapper Eminem appeared with former President Barack Obama, and Harris has also collaborated with acclaimed singers like Stevie Wonder and Bruce Springsteen at events in Georgia.
