In a truly unfortunate turn of events, Jason Kelce, former Philadelphia Eagles center, revealed that he lost his prized Super Bowl LII ring during the "New Heights" live show in Cincinnati. The incident occurred during the "Lombaby Games" segment of the show held at the University of Cincinnati's Fifth Third Arena.

During the "Lombaby Games," UC athletes and academics competed in various challenges, one of which involved searching for Jason Kelce's Super Bowl ring in pools filled with Skyline Chili 3-ways, alongside a few decoy rings. Much to everyone's surprise, including Jason's, the ring went missing and could not be found.

Jason Kelce, 36, expressed his disappointment during Wednesday's episode of "New Heights," saying, "I legitimately lost my Super Bowl ring in this event. They could not find it." As a result, they enlisted the help of a podcast intern to search the pool of chili with a shovel the following day. Unfortunately, the ring remained elusive.

In an attempt to locate the ring, they even used a metal detector. However, they were unaware that Skyline Chili contains trace amounts of iron, rendering the metal detector ineffective. Efforts to recover the ring proved to be in vain, causing Jason to assume that it is now residing in a landfill somewhere within the Cincinnati Tri-State area, as they eventually disposed of the remaining chili.

When questioned by his brother Travis Kelce about his expectations, Jason admitted, "I thought that we'd just go in the pool and get the ring afterwards." Travis, unimpressed, referred to him as an "imbecile." However, Jason remained optimistic, stating, "It's just a hunk of metal, I'll just have another one made, I think. They can do that, right?"

During their discussion, the Kelce brothers reminisced about the "Jason Lost His Ring" challenge, remarking on how disgusting and foul-smelling it was. Jason shared his love for Skyline Chili, mentioning that he had enjoyed it twice over the weekend but also acknowledged that the chili used in the event had been sitting out for some time, contributing to the unpleasant odor.

The footage of the "Lombaby Games" and the Kelce brothers' full recap can be viewed below, where the hilarity and unfortunate mishap unfolded.

In conclusion, Jason Kelce's Super Bowl ring has seemingly found a new home in the depths of a Cincinnati Tri-State area landfill. While the loss is undoubtedly lamentable, Jason retains a positive attitude and plans to have a new ring made. The "New Heights" live show will forever be remembered as the event where a Super Bowl ring was misplaced in a pool of Skyline Chili.
