Winnetka, Illinois - A dramatic incident unfolded on Monday morning in the quiet suburb of Winnetka as a homeowner confronted and exchanged gunfire with three suspects attempting to steal a car. The incident took place in the 400-block of Sheridan Road at around 5 a.m., according to local police.

Authorities reported that three individuals were in the process of stealing a car when their actions were swiftly interrupted by the vigilant homeowner. In a harrowing turn of events, a shootout ensued between the homeowner and the suspects. Miraculously, no injuries were reported in the exchange of gunfire, the police confirmed.
