High-Speed Crash Claims Life of Driver on Leadmine Street

In a tragic incident on Friday evening, a driver was killed after being ejected from their vehicle on Leadmine Street, according to Cherokee County Coroner, Dennis Fowler.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:50 p.m., when a 2003 Jeep Liberty was traveling at a high rate of speed on Leadmine Street. Authorities believe the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn.
As a result of the collision, the driver was forcefully thrown from the Jeep, landing on the pavement. Fowler confirmed that the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the driver has not yet been disclosed, pending the notification of their next of kin. Fowler assured that the information will be released once the family has been notified.
To shed further light on the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash, Fowler announced that an autopsy will be conducted on Monday. This investigation is expected to provide valuable insights into the cause of the incident.
