In a tragic incident over the weekend, an unidentified man was discovered hanged inside a subway tunnel near Grand Central Station in what the authorities believe to be a case of suicide.
The distressing discovery took place around 5:15 a.m. on Saturday when the man's body was found hanging by the neck from a wire, approximately 100 feet into the No. 7 train tunnel south of the bustling transit hub, according to the police.
A chilling video shared on X depicts the barefoot man, still clothed, hanging limply as members of the NYPD's Emergency Services Unit prepare to remove the body from the scene.
As of now, the identity of the man remains unknown. The NYPD is conducting an investigation to determine the factors that may have led to this tragic event.
