In the latest developments in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, Ukrainian Ground Forces commander, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported on Sunday that Russian troops continue their attempts to advance along the entire front line in Ukraine. Syrskyi highlighted that the situation in the country's east remains complex.

Taking to Telegram, Syrskyi stated, "Myself and the defenders holding the defense line in the eastern direction have analyzed the situation in detail and considered various options for how to move forward. Together, we made the necessary decisions to maintain the stability of our defense, preserve the lives of our soldiers, and use our ammunition wisely."

According to a briefing from the Ukrainian General Staff released on Sunday morning, the battlefield was marked by intense activity, with a total of 60 armed clashes reported in the previous 24 hours. The update noted that Ukraine's forces successfully repelled Russian attacks in the cities of Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, and Shakhtarsk. In addition, Ukrainian troops are currently engaged in an offensive south of Bakhmut, while also striving to maintain their defense in Avdiivka and hold back Russian forces in Marinka.

On the other side, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that it had successfully repelled attacks by the Ukrainian military in Kupyansk, Lyman, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia.

The ongoing clashes and escalation of the conflict have raised serious concerns among the international community. The growing number of armed clashes signifies the intensification of hostilities on the ground, leaving civilians caught in the crossfire and at risk of displacement and harm.

Efforts to de-escalate the situation have been made by various diplomatic actors, including the United States and European Union, but with limited success. The conflict shows no signs of abating, with both sides determined to maintain their positions and secure their strategic objectives.

As the situation in Ukraine's east remains volatile, the international community continues to closely monitor the developments, urging all parties involved to engage in dialogue and seek a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
