In a shocking turn of events, the Los Angeles Police Department has released devastating details surrounding the death of Los Angeles model Maleesa Mooney. The autopsy report, unveiled by the Los Angeles Department of the Medical Examiner, unveils a horrifying crime scene that unfolded in her own apartment in September.

Mooney, a 31-year-old model, was discovered deceased inside her apartment refrigerator on September 12, after her concerned family members had not heard from her in several days. Authorities quickly classified her death as a homicide, sparking an intensive investigation.

The disturbing autopsy report reveals that Mooney had been subjected to severe physical trauma. She was found bound and gagged, with both her arms and legs tightly tied behind her back using various electronic cords and clothing items. Her face and neck were concealed with additional clothes, while a cloth gag was stuffed into her mouth.

The report further disclosed that Mooney had sustained multiple injuries consistent with blunt force trauma. Abrasions, lacerations, and contusions were found on her head, neck, body, arms, and legs. Blood was also discovered on the floor outside the refrigerator, painting a grisly picture of the violent struggle that likely took place.

According to the report, the blunt force injuries Mooney suffered were not immediately life-threatening but strongly indicated that she had been involved in a violent physical altercation before her eventual death. However, the role of alcohol and drugs in her demise remains uncertain, despite the presence of recent evidence of cocaine use in her toxicology report.

Surveillance footage from Mooney's apartment complex, located in the 200 block of S. Figueroa Street, captured the last known sighting of her on September 6. The investigation into her murder is ongoing, as authorities meticulously piece together the timeline and circumstances surrounding her tragic end.

It is worth noting that Mooney's death occurred just two days after another model, 32-year-old Nichole Coats, was found deceased in her downtown Los Angeles apartment. Although investigations have determined that their deaths are unrelated, Coats' autopsy report earlier this week attributed her passing to "cocaine and ethanol toxicity."

The community is left shaken by the heinous crime that claimed the life of Maleesa Mooney. As authorities relentlessly pursue justice, they are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation. The chilling circumstances of Mooney's death serve as a stark reminder of the dangers lurking in even the most unexpected places.
