Vice President Kamala Harris made a notable appearance in Provincetown, Massachusetts on Saturday for a fundraising event at Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum. The event, titled "A Reception with Vice President Kamala Harris," was organized by the Biden Victory Fund and was expected to raise at least $1 million, according to event co-host Bryan Rafanelli.

Arriving at Air Station Cape Cod in Bourne shortly before 1 p.m., Harris then made her way to Provincetown in a motorcade of SUVs. The motorcade, which included state police, motorcycles, and official SUVs with flags, arrived in Provincetown at approximately 2:30 p.m.

The fundraiser garnered significant attention as notable guests joined the event. Among the attendees were Governor Maura Healey, U.S. Senator Ed Markey, State Senator Julian Cyr, and Mayor of Boston Michelle Wu. Delaware state Senator Sarah McBride, recognized as the first transgender state senator in U.S. history, was also in attendance. Prominent actresses Jennifer Coolidge and Tony Award winner Adrienne Warren, known for their roles in series like "White Lotus" and the movie "The Women King," respectively, also graced the event as special guests.

Inside a tent adjacent to the Pilgrim Monument, several speakers addressed the attendees. Boston Mayor Michelle Wu delivered the opening remarks at 3:15 p.m., followed by Healey and Coolidge. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg then took the stage in front of a vibrant banner displaying "VPTOWN" and called for a determined effort to secure victory in the upcoming election.

Reporters inside the fundraiser noted the presence of Jennifer Coolidge, who arrived with her own escort and was seen wearing comfortable shoes while carrying her heels in her hands. Additionally, Billy Porter and Darren Criss, along with Tony Award winner Adrienne Warren, were listed among the celebrity guests. Warren was set to deliver a performance during the event.

A White House press release stated that approximately 800 guests were expected to attend the fundraiser. Prior to the start of the event, individuals dressed casually and wore straw hats to shield themselves from the sun. Black Secret Service vehicles blocked both entrances to the Pilgrim Monument, prompting some visitors to inquire about the monument's accessibility. A lone protester held a sign at the Bradford Street entrance, advocating to "Stop Funding Genocide."

Attendee Bethany Patten, from Boston, expressed her support for the administration's climate change policies. Patten hoped to hear messages of hope from Harris and expressed excitement about the presence of other Massachusetts and Boston leaders.

Provincetown has become a popular destination for high-profile political fundraisers, often organized by Bryan Rafanelli and Rafanelli Events. Notable figures, including former President Bill Clinton, former presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, pop icon Cher, and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, have all participated in fundraising events in the area.

Vice President Kamala Harris' presence in Provincetown for the Biden Victory Fund fundraiser added another noteworthy chapter to the town's legacy as a gathering place for influential political figures.
