Man Found with Serious Injuries on Mass Pike Ramp Dies after Falling from Ledge
BOSTON - A tragedy unfolded on Friday morning when a man, later identified as a 50-year-old individual, was discovered with severe injuries on a ramp of the Massachusetts Turnpike in Boston. State Police have since revealed that the man fell a staggering 20 feet from a nearby ledge onto the road below.
Initially, authorities believed that the man had been involved in a hit-and-run incident, as he was found on the ramp from the Mass Pike to the Copley Square exit. However, further investigation by State Police uncovered that he had not been struck by a vehicle.
Approximately 20 feet above the site where the man was discovered, police located a sleeping bag and toiletries, leading them to surmise that he had been living on the ledge prior to the tragic fall.
Emergency responders swiftly transported the injured individual to Tufts Medical Center for urgent medical attention. Sadly, despite the efforts of medical professionals, the man succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
