### Seattle Man Arrested for Robbing Homes of Professional Athletes
A Seattle resident has been apprehended in connection with a string of burglaries at the homes of professional athletes, law enforcement officials announced. Earl Henderson Riley IV, 21, is accused of targeting the residences of prominent sports figures, including Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Blake Snell, Seattle Mariners center fielder Julio Rodriguez, Seattle Mariners pitcher Luis Castillo, and former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman.
Riley faces multiple charges, consisting of four counts of residential burglary and one count of first-degree robbery. The King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office revealed these charges after an extensive investigation that involved multiple search warrants. "The King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office worked for weeks on multiple search warrants that led to the filing of these felony charges today," stated Prosecuting Attorney Leesa Manion.
The investigation, initiated in early 2025, was a collaboration between six different police jurisdictions, highlighting the complexity and coordination involved in the effort. Authorities have disclosed that other suspects could potentially be implicated as the investigation progresses. Police aimed to dismantle what they describe as a burglary crew responsible for these ongoing criminal activities.
"We could do that once we identified what we believe is the ringleader of this bunch and charge him as we've done today," said Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Gary Ernsdorff. "That doesn't mean our work is finished. We still want to go and identify everybody who was involved and see if there are additional people that we can have sufficient evidence to charge."
Riley was previously released on February 7 after pleading guilty to three counts of robbery. He is currently being held in King County Jail with bail set at $1 million.
