In a tragic turn of events, the Los Osos High School community in California is mourning the loss of 17-year-old Emily Gold, a talented student and member of the school's dance team. Just a month after impressing judges on America's Got Talent with her high-energy routine, Emily was found dead under a bridge on the eastbound 210 Highway in Rancho Cucamonga on Friday night.

The San Bernardino Coroner's Office is treating Emily's death as a suicide, leaving the school and its students in shock. The popular dancer had participated in the reality TV competition alongside her dance troupe and had reached the quarterfinals, earning praise from the judges.

Emily's sudden death has devastated her friends and classmates, who have taken to social media to pay tribute to the talented dancer. A GoFundMe campaign has also been launched to support her grieving family, which has already raised almost half of its $50,000 target.

Samantha Shaw, one of Emily's close friends, expressed her heartbreak on Facebook, saying, "Let it be known that she now rests easy although there were many that loved Emily Gold and even looked up to her. She will be remembered none the less by her fellow Grizzlies and by those who loved her with all their heart and soul. Emily Gold, thank you for all that you have done in this world. You have done more than enough. Claws up to you, Emily. Claws up."

Simon Cowell, one of the judges on America's Got Talent, had given Emily's dance group a standing ovation during their audition in May. He praised their energy and described their performance as everything a great school should be doing - encouraging talent and friendship.

Tragically, Emily's life was cut short just weeks after the competition. Multiple witnesses had alerted the California Highway Patrol about her presence on the road just east of Haven Avenue. By the time officers arrived, Emily had already been struck by several vehicles, one of which failed to stop.

Los Osos High School shared the devastating news of Emily's passing with students on Saturday. The school's Principal, Eric Cypher, expressed his condolences and asked the community to keep Emily and her loved ones in their thoughts and prayers.

Mia Bustamante, another member of Emily's dance troupe, expressed her grief on Instagram, saying, "You brought me the most beautiful form of love I could ask for. My best friend, my forever dance sister."

As the Los Osos High School community mourns the tragic loss of a talented and beloved student, the memory of Emily Gold's passion and spirit will live on.
