**Beloved Atlanta Radio Personality Wanda Smith Passes Away**
Atlanta is mourning the loss of a cherished voice, as beloved radio personality Wanda Smith has passed away. The news was shared late Saturday night by V-103, the radio station where Smith most recently worked.
Wanda Smith was a well-known figure in Atlanta, gaining wide recognition as the co-host of "Frank and Wanda in the Morning" alongside Frank Ski. The pair captivated audiences for years with their dynamic chemistry before Smith later teamed up with Atlanta radio veteran and current Falcons public address announcer, Ryan Cameron. Smith eventually returned to join Frank Ski on the air once again, solidifying her legacy at V-103.
Rick Caffey, the Senior Vice President and Market Manager of V-103, conveyed the station's sorrow through a heartfelt statement on Instagram. "Our hearts are weighing heavier today as we grieve the loss of our beloved Wanda Smith, someone who always made us smile and who was a big part of V-103 for years. We extend our deepest prayers and condolences to her family," he shared.
Smith's influence at V-103 began in 2006, where she not only brought joy and laughter to many but also worked diligently behind the scenes to benefit the Atlanta community. Her contributions reached far beyond her on-air presence, as she often spearheaded efforts to assist those in need.
To honor her memory, V-103 will host a special tribute during "Sunday Morning Praise with Larry Tinsley." Listeners are encouraged to call in and share their personal stories and experiences with Smith, paying homage to a true Atlanta icon.
"Rest easy Wanda. We love you, and we will miss you dearly," the station expressed in their social media post.
