LOS ANGELES (AP) - The highly anticipated third season of the hit reality/competition show, "The Traitors," has unveiled its star-studded lineup. A unique blend of reality television all-stars, actors, and even a British aristocrat will come together to compete in this thrilling murder mystery game.

Hosted by the charismatic Alan Cummings, the upcoming season will take place in a majestic castle nestled in the Scottish Highlands. Contestants will not only participate in challenges but also navigate a web of deception, as some of them will be undercover "traitors" aiming to hinder the group's progress and secure the grand prize for themselves.

Leading the pack of newcomers from reality series is Chrishell Stause, a real estate agent and actor well-known for her appearances on "Selling Sunset." Adding to the intrigue is Tom Sandoval, infamous for his villainous role on the 10th season of "Vanderpump Rules." Joining them is Sam Asghari, an actor and model, who is notable for his previous marriage to pop star Britney Spears.

Several stars from the popular Bravo franchise "Real Housewives" will also grace the show. Dorinda Medley from "The Real Housewives of New York City," Chanel Ayan from "The Real Housewives of Dubai," Dolores Catania from "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," and Robyn Dixon from "The Real Housewives of Potomac" are set to bring their drama-filled personas to the competition.

"The Bachelor" spinoffs will be represented by Gabby Windey and Wells Adams. Their experience in the world of reality dating shows could provide them with a strategic edge. Additionally, fan favorites from "Big Brother," Britney Haynes and Danielle Reyes, will compete alongside "Survivor" alumni Carolyn Wiger, Jeremy Collins, Rob Mariano, and Tony Vlachos.

Rounding out the diverse cast are Bob The Drag Queen from "RuPaul's Drag Race," Bob Harper from "The Biggest Loser," Ciara Miller from "Summer House," and Nikki Garcia, a WWE star and professional wrestler. Dylan Efron, actor, producer, and the brother of Zac Efron, is also prepared to showcase his skills on the show.

Making history as the first British royal family member to publicly come out as gay, Lord Ivar Mountbatten, a member of the extended royal family, will be joining the cast. Tatler Magazine reports that his inclusion adds an unexpected twist to the lineup.

"The Traitors" has garnered significant popularity on Peacock, and its previous two seasons were critically acclaimed. Season 1 even won an Emmy Award for outstanding casting for a reality program. With a unique mix of fanbases from various reality series and the captivating presence of host Alan Cummings, the show offers something for everyone.

While a release date for the third season of "The Traitors" has yet to be announced, fans around the world, including those in the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom, eagerly await the next installment of this thrilling competition.
