**Queen Camilla Cancels Public Appearances Due to Chest Infection**

Queen Camilla has been compelled to cancel her public engagements for this week because of a chest infection, Buckingham Palace revealed on Tuesday. A palace spokesperson conveyed to the BBC that medical advisers have prescribed a period of rest for Her Majesty.

Despite her inability to fulfill her duties this week, the 77-year-old monarch is hopeful she will recuperate in time for the weekend's Remembrance events. The Queen is currently resting at home with close medical supervision.

One significant event she will miss is the opening of this year’s Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey in London, an annual event where poppies are planted to honor fallen armed forces members. In her absence, Birgitte, the Duchess of Gloucester, will represent her.

Additionally, Queen Camilla has pulled out of an evening reception hosted by her husband, King Charles III, for Olympic and Paralympic athletes. This comes shortly after their return from a royal tour of Australia and Samoa.

King Charles, aged 75, had been diagnosed with an unspecified form of cancer in February, but managed to return to his public responsibilities by April. The family has faced significant health challenges this year, including the King's daughter-in-law Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, who was diagnosed with cancer and subsequently completed chemotherapy in September. Kate, 42, is on a long path to full recovery but resumed her public duties later in the month.
