Prince William, President of the EE British Academy Film Awards since 2010, made a solo appearance at the BAFTAs at the Royal Festival Hall in London. The 42-year-old royal, clad in his signature navy velour suit jacket and dickie bow, walked the red carpet, taking time to pose for selfies with fans and chat with well-wishers gathered outside the venue.

Inside the event, Prince William sat beside Hollywood star Cate Blanchett as the awards ceremony, hosted by David Tennant, commenced. The glamorous night saw A-listers like Margot Robbie, Emily Blunt, Emma Stone, and Florence Pugh dazzling in their finest attire.

This marked Prince William's first high-profile royal engagement since the Princess of Wales underwent surgery in mid-January. Additionally, news of his father, the King's cancer diagnosis, led to William attending limited events recently.

Despite traditionally attending the BAFTAs with his wife, Princess Kate, who is currently recovering at home with their three children after surgery, Prince William made a notable presence at the prestigious British film event. The royal couple was known for their attendance at the ceremony, with Kate stunning in her fashion choices each year.

With the King stepping back from public engagements due to his health, William is expected to take on more responsibilities in public royal life. The Queen, on the other hand, has continued her royal engagements, expressing gratitude for the public's support towards the King during his cancer treatment.

As the royal family navigates health challenges, Prince William's solo appearance at the BAFTAs stood out as a commitment to their responsibilities and support for the British film industry.
