The New Orleans Saints have made a series of injury-related roster moves as they prepare to begin their training camp next week in Southern California. The team announced on Thursday afternoon that veteran right tackle Ryan Ramczyk has been placed on the reserve/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.

Ramczyk's placement on the reserve list means that he will miss at least the first four games of the upcoming season. Sadly, there have been no positive updates regarding Ramczyk's chronic knee injury, leaving the possibility that he may have played his last game in professional football.

Another notable roster move was the placement of wide receiver Chris Olave on the non-football injury list, indicating that he sustained an injury or illness outside of the team's facility. Fortunately, Olave's undisclosed injury is not considered serious, according to a league source.

In addition, the Saints also placed defensive ends Chase Young and Tanoh Kpassagnon, tight end Juwan Johnson, and linebacker Nephi Sewell on the active/PUP list. These players will be allowed to participate in team activities, excluding practice, and can be removed from the PUP list at any time during training camp. However, they will continue to count towards the team's roster limit while on the list.

Chase Young, one of the Saints' key offseason acquisitions, has yet to partake in any team drills as he recovers from neck surgery. Juwan Johnson underwent foot surgery this summer, and despite the absence of a specific timeline for his return, there are hopes that he will be ready for the start of the season.

Meanwhile, Nephi Sewell is still recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in Week 17 of last season. As for Tanoh Kpassagnon, who tore his Achilles at some point during the offseason, Saints coach Dennis Allen has stated that he does not expect the defensive end to be ready for the beginning of the season.

On a positive note, rookie receiver Bub Means has been taken off the non-football injury list, indicating that he will be fully participating in training camp when the full team gathers next week.

These injury-related roster moves have undoubtedly presented some challenges for the New Orleans Saints as they enter training camp. However, with the resilience and determination of the coaching staff and the players, the team remains optimistic about the upcoming season.

The Saints' training camp is set to commence next week, and fans will be eagerly following updates on the players' recoveries as they inch closer to the highly anticipated regular season.
