In a surprising turn of events, the New England Patriots elected to stay put and make their selection at No. 3 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. Despite receiving trade offers from the New York Giants and the Minnesota Vikings, the Patriots ultimately decided to hold onto their pick and chose quarterback Drake Maye from the University of North Carolina.

According to Sports Illustrated, the Giants offered their No. 6 overall pick and their 2025 first-rounder in exchange for the No. 3 spot.
