The School District of Philadelphia has reported that among the injured are at least seven children, however, the ages of the victims have not yet been confirmed by the police.

The incident occurred shortly before 3 p.m., causing panic and chaos in the area. Police have not released any information regarding the motive or identities of the shooter(s) at this time. It remains unclear if there were multiple shooters involved.

SEPTA, the local transportation authority, revealed that the shooting took place at the intersection of Rising Sun Avenue and Loney Street, where a Route 18 bus traveling west on Rising Sun Avenue and St. Vincents Street found itself caught in the crossfire. Fortunately, no passengers on the bus were harmed during the incident.
