### Dolphins' Quarterback Woes Continue as Huntley Exits with Shoulder Injury
In yet another blow to the Miami Dolphins' quarterback depth chart, Tyler Huntley exited Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts due to a right shoulder injury. The Dolphins lost the match 16-10. The incident occurred midway through the third quarter when Huntley was hit while attempting to pass, leading to an incomplete throw. Huntley was subsequently escorted to the locker room by the team's medical personnel.
Stepping in for Huntley was backup quarterback Tim Boyle, who had just been signed to the active roster the day before. Boyle's performance saw him complete 8 of his 13 passes, accumulating 74 yards. This game marked Huntley's third appearance as a starter, shedding light on the ongoing instability Miami has faced at the quarterback position—a stark contrast to their top offensive performance last season.
Tyler Huntley began the season behind Tua Tagovailoa, who had secured a lucrative four-year, $212.1 million contract in the offseason. However, Tagovailoa has been out of action, spending the last four games on injured reserve following a concussion in Week 2. Early in the season, Skylar Thompson took over the starting duties after Tagovailoa’s injury but was sidelined with a rib injury during Miami's Week 3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. While Thompson has been absent from the field since, he was listed as the emergency quarterback for Sunday's game and could only play if Boyle, too, was rendered unable to continue.
Before his early exit, Huntley managed to complete 7 out of 13 attempts for 87 yards, including a touchdown pass to tight end Jonnu Smith—Huntley’s first passing touchdown of the season. The Dolphins hope to rally and find some stability at the quarterback position as the season progresses.
