**Las Vegas Raiders Revamp Coaching Staff Amid Struggling Offense**

The Las Vegas Raiders have made significant changes to their coaching lineup following the dismissal of offensive coordinator Luke Getsy. On Tuesday afternoon, head coach Antonio Pierce announced the appointment of Norv Turner as a senior advisor and offensive consultant. In a related move, Pierce promoted Turner's son, Scott Turner, from passing game coordinator to interim offensive coordinator for the remainder of the season.

Despite these adjustments, Pierce has yet to decide who will ultimately be responsible for play-calling duties. The recent shakeup also saw Joe Philbin named as the interim offensive line coach on the same day.

Pierce had previously expressed dissatisfaction with the team's play-calling and openly criticized Getsy's performance. By assigning Scott Turner the task of calling plays and bringing in his father Norv Turner, a seasoned NFL coordinator, the Raiders hope to revitalize their offensive strategy.

So far this season, the Raiders have faced considerable challenges on the offensive front. They currently rank fourth-lowest in total offensive yards with an average of 280.2 yards per game and have the fewest rushing yards per game at 76.9. Additionally, the team leads the NFL in turnovers with a total of 19 giveaways.

Norv Turner, a 72-year-old veteran, brings a wealth of experience to the team. He has a storied career as a two-time Super Bowl-winning coordinator and former head coach of the Washington Redskins, Oakland Raiders, and San Diego Chargers. His extensive resume includes stints as an offensive coordinator for multiple NFL teams, including the Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins, and San Francisco 49ers.

Turner's last NFL role was in 2019 with the Carolina Panthers under head coach Ron Rivera. After Rivera's dismissal, Turner served as a special assistant to interim head coach Perry Fewell.

With these strategic hires, the Raiders aim to address their offensive woes and turn their season around.
