Hollywood actor Kevin Costner is set to make a grand return to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival with his highly anticipated western, "Horizon: An American Saga." The film, which will be screened out of competition, is scheduled to debut on Sunday, May 19, 2024.

Expressing his gratitude, Costner thanked the Festival de Cannes for including his film in this year's selection. "It's been 20 years since I've had the pleasure of being on the Croisette. I've been waiting for the right time to return, and I'm proud to say that this time has come," he said in a statement.

Costner, who is not only starring in the film but also directing it, shared his excitement about bringing "Horizon: An American Saga" to Cannes. He described it as a story that began 35 years ago, and believes there is no better place than Cannes to unveil the outcome of this remarkable adventure. Furthermore, he praised the French for their steadfast support of films and their deep belief in the art of filmmaking.

The star-studded cast of "Horizon: An American Saga" includes Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jena Malone, Abbey Lee, Michael Rooker, Danny Huston, Luke Wilson, Isabelle Fuhrman, Jeff Fahey, Will Patton, Tatanka Means, Owen Crow Shoe, Ella Hunt, and Jamie Campbell Bower.

Warner Bros. is all set to release the first installment of the two-part "Horizon" series on June 28, 2024. The second installment will follow two months later on August 16, 2024.

With Costner's return to the Croisette and the anticipation surrounding "Horizon: An American Saga," film enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the Cannes premiere, marking a significant milestone for the legendary actor and the Western genre.
