### Katy O'Brian Joins Glen Powell in Paramount's Adaptation of "The Running Man"

Katy O'Brian, an actress gaining recognition for her role in "Love Lies Bleeding," is set to star alongside Glen Powell in Paramount's upcoming film "The Running Man." This movie marks an adaptation of Stephen King's novel, with Edgar Wright at the helm as director and co-writer along with Michael Bacall.

Stephen King's "The Running Man," first published in 1982 under the pseudonym Richard Bachman, takes place in 2025 in a dystopian America ruled by a totalitarian regime. The narrative revolves around a desperate man, played by Powell, who enters a deadly game show to earn money for his sick daughter. Contestants in the show are hunted by teams of killers, with the promise of more money for those who survive longer. However, Powell's character aims to outwit the show’s producers and killers, hoping to expose the sinister truths behind the broadcast.

Katy O'Brian will portray one of the contestants participating in this brutal game show. The film is slated for release on November 21, 2025, under the Paramount banner. Producers for the project include Simon Kinberg, Nira Park, and Wright.

O'Brian's career has been on an upward trajectory.
