### Jaguars Make Key Roster Moves Ahead of Matchup Against Packers

The Jacksonville Jaguars have announced several significant roster updates as they prepare for their upcoming game against the Green Bay Packers. Most notably, Linebacker Foyesade Oluokun has been activated from the Reserve/Injured; Designated to Return list.

Oluokun, originally drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, joined the Jaguars as an unrestricted free agent after the 2021 season. Since his arrival in Jacksonville in 2022, Oluokun has ascended to the top of the NFL in solo tackles, amassing 252, and ranks fourth in total tackles with 379. His 2023 season alone featured 173 total tackles—111 of which were solo—eight tackles for loss, six passes defensed, 2.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and an interception returned for a touchdown. Last season, he continued to demonstrate his durability and skill, surpassing 150 total tackles for the third consecutive year, a rare achievement accomplished by just six players since 2000. His seven-season career thus far includes 833 total tackles (519 solo), 35 tackles for loss, 24 passes defensed, 10.5 sacks, 10 forced fumbles, six interceptions, and six fumble recoveries.

Also elevated to the active roster for the upcoming game are Running Back Jake Funk and Defensive End Joe Gaziano. Funk was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft. His NFL journey has seen him spend time with the New Orleans Saints, Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, and Baltimore Ravens' practice squads. He joined the Detroit Lions in early 2024 but was waived in August. Before his NFL years, Funk played college football at Maryland, where he dazzled in his senior year by leading the Big Ten and ranking second nationally in yards per carry.

Joe Gaziano's elevation comes after an initial stint with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2020. Gaziano played in 21 games over three seasons with the Chargers, contributing 22 tackles and 1.0 sack. Moving to the Atlanta Falcons in March 2023, Gaziano saw action in two games before finding his way to Jacksonville in 2024. With a strong college career at Northwestern University, where he set the all-time sack record for the Wildcats, Gaziano brings added depth to the Jaguars' defensive line.

This series of roster moves comes as the Jaguars seek to solidify their team for a critical game against the Packers. The additions of Oluokun, Funk, and Gaziano will inject experience and talent into the lineup, aiming to provide the Jaguars with the necessary edge to secure victory.
