**Lamar Jackson's Practice Absence Due to Injuries, Not Rest**

Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh referred to Lamar Jackson's non-attendance at practice as a "rest day," but the team's practice report painted a different picture. According to the report, Jackson missed practice owing to back and knee injuries, not simply for load management.

Harbaugh had mentioned earlier in the day that Jackson has been performing excellently and noted the need to prepare for the upcoming games. "He's been playing great and we've got a lot of football in front of us here. We've got a game, quick game, another big game coming up. So that was warranted today," Harbaugh stated.

Other Ravens players also had to sit out Wednesday's practice. Defensive tackle Travis Jones is dealing with an ankle issue, defensive end Brent Urban is recovering from a concussion, running back Rasheen Ali has an ankle injury, and cornerback Arthur Maulet is suffering from a neck problem.

On a more positive note, cornerbacks Marlon Humphrey and Nate Wiggins returned to practice but only in a limited capacity. Humphrey, plagued by a knee injury, and Wiggins, nursing shoulder and illness issues, had both been inactive recently, with Humphrey missing last week's game against the Buccaneers.

Defensive tackle Broderick Washington was also on a limited practice schedule due to a knee problem. In contrast, running back Keaton Mitchell was a full participant in practice as he recovers from his knee injury. This comes after Mitchell's 21-day practice window opened last week, during which he was limited in practice.
