### Ravens QB Lamar Jackson Misses Out on $750,000 Workout Bonus Again

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is once again omitting the opportunity to earn his $750,000 workout bonus for the second consecutive year. Despite the significant sum, Jackson did not meet the 80 percent attendance requirement for team workouts outlined in his 2023 contract, a miss that reduces his 2025 compensation from $43.5 million to $42.75 million.

Jackson's contract stipulates that he can earn these workout bonuses annually from 2024 through 2027, subject to him attending at least 80 percent of the team's off-season workouts. Failure to participate cost him $750,000 last year, and the same has occurred this year, bringing his total loss from missed workouts to $1.5 million.

The consequence of skipping these workouts extends beyond the immediate financial loss. By staying in shape outside of the Ravens’ facilities, Jackson risks sustaining an injury classified as a non-football injury. This scenario could potentially void his compensation for 2025 if the Ravens decide not to pay him.

During last year's mandatory minicamp, Jackson opted not to discuss his absence from the offseason sessions or the forfeited bonus. It is anticipated that he will similarly avoid the topic at this week's mandatory minicamp.

Going forward, it may be prudent for Jackson to negotiate the removal of these workout bonuses in any future deals, ensuring that his full compensation is not contingent on offseason attendance.
