Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is facing a lawsuit from plus-sized influencer Sophie Hall, who claims her leg was broken during a backyard football lesson at the football star's Florida mansion last year. Hall, a model and actor with over 2 million followers, alleges that the incident occurred after she was invited to participate in an offensive line blocking drill at Hill's residence in June.
According to the lawsuit filed in Broward County, Hall was initially invited to Hill's home after registering her son for the player's football camp. The suit states that Hill had been in contact with Hall on Instagram, engaging in flirtatious conversations about her height. During the backyard drill, Hall, who stands at 6ft 1in, claims she pushed Hill, who is 5ft 10in, backward on the first rep, which drew laughter from witnesses.
However, on a subsequent rep where roles were reversed, Hill allegedly charged into Hall with great force, causing her to suffer a fractured right leg that required surgery and metal hardware implantation. The lawsuit contends that Hill became enraged after feeling 'humiliated' and forcefully shoved Hall during the football lesson.
The complaint also references Hill's past behavior, including a domestic-violence arrest in 2014 that led to his dismissal from Oklahoma State. Despite the legal challenges, the 29-year-old receiver had a successful season with the Miami Dolphins, tallying a career-high of 1,799 receiving yards on 119 catches with 13 touchdowns.
The lawsuit is likely to bring attention to the allegations of aggressive behavior towards women that Hill has faced, complicating his career both on and off the field.
