**Trevor Lawrence Likely Out for Week 10 Due to Shoulder Injury**

Jacksonville Jaguars fans may need to brace themselves for a significant absence as franchise quarterback Trevor Lawrence is dealing with an injury to his non-throwing shoulder. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Lawrence is expected to miss the upcoming Week 10 game. He is currently evaluating his options and is considered day to day.

This marks a rare occasion for the former No. 1 pick, as he has missed only one other game in his career. While surgery is a potential solution, Rapoport notes that it isn't imminent at this time. Lawrence, who faced several injuries last season, underperformed on the field, leading to the Jaguars missing the postseason. This year has also been turbulent, with Jacksonville holding a disappointing 2-7 record. A cautious approach to Lawrence’s recovery would be understandable given the circumstances.

Lawrence’s performance in 2024 hasn't met expectations, with a passer rating of 87.9, the lowest since his rookie year, and an 11:6 touchdown-to-interception ratio. Adding to the team’s woes, wide receiver Christian Kirk is already out for the season. The Jaguars' offense would face even more challenges against the Vikings if Lawrence is unavailable.

If Lawrence is indeed sidelined for Week 10, backup quarterback Mac Jones is expected to step in. Acquired through an offseason trade, Jones has seen limited action this year, with only 17 snaps under his belt. Additionally, the Jaguars recently brought back C.J. Beathard, providing further depth at the quarterback position. Lawrence’s situation, especially if surgery does become a consideration, will be closely monitored.
