**Emma Slater Faces Double Setback on Dancing with the Stars**
Professional dancer Emma Slater has encountered a challenging week on ABC's Dancing with the Stars. After the recent episode featured a double elimination, Slater and her partner, Reginald VelJohnson, were among those sent home. Their performances — a cha cha and a foxtrot — did not impress the judges sufficiently, scoring 21 out of 40 for each dance.
Adding to her woes, Slater sustained an ankle injury in an accident that has not been disclosed publicly. This injury means she will be taking a break from dancing with the show's troupe, further complicating her situation.
In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Slater shared her feelings about the unexpected turn of events. "Today threw a little curve ball at me but got looked after by some special people," she expressed. "Thought I was gunna be cutting a rug with my fellow #eliminated pros but sadly I got #eliminated from that crew too so I think I'll go join @thereginaldveljohnson and just sit on the couch for a bit."
The double elimination episode saw both Slater and VelJohnson, along with Eric Roberts and his partner Britt Stewart, exiting the competition. Despite their efforts, the judges' scores ultimately led to their departures, marking a disappointing end for their journey on the show this season.
