### Elton John Celebrates Health and Family in New Documentary

Legendary musician Elton John, 77, has faced numerous health challenges over the years, yet he continues to embrace life with humor and gratitude. At the New York premiere of his latest documentary, "Elton John: Never Too Late," the iconic artist shared a detailed overview of his health tribulations. Speaking candidly to the audience, he listed the various procedures he has undergone, saying, "I don't have tonsils, adenoids, or an appendix. I don't have a prostate. I don't have a right hip or a left knee or a right knee. In fact, the only thing left to me is my left hip." Yet, his spirits remain high, buoyed by a robust sense of humor and unwavering support from loved ones.

Earlier this year, John underwent knee replacement surgery. As recently as last month, he was in the recovery phase from a severe eye infection that temporarily impaired his vision. "But I'm still here," John declared, expressing his gratitude towards his supporters, "you're the people that made me." He made special mention of his husband, David Furnish, and their two sons, Zachary and Elijah, stating, "I've never felt happiness like I have now." His retirement from touring has enabled him to spend more quality time with his family.

John's illustrious touring career officially concluded in July 2023 with the end of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour. "As you know, I decided to stop touring because I'm 77 years of age. I've done all there is to do, to play. I've succeeded. I've been there and I've done it," he said. Despite ending his touring years, John has not distanced himself from the world of music. He attributes the art form as a vital element of his life, especially during both challenging and triumphant moments. "I've still got to make room because I'm still going to have music in my life. But the most important things in my life are David, Zachary, and Elijah, and my family and my friends. I found utopia, and I'm so thrilled," he enthused.

Even during his darkest times, John found solace in music, a theme he often reflects upon. "Even when I was in my darkest times, I still played music, I still recorded music, so I have to say thank you to music for being the most incredible inspiration to me throughout my whole life," he said. His documentary, "Never Too Late," delves deeply into this enduring relationship with music. The film features footage from his final tour as well as insights into his family life and career. It will be released in select theaters in the U.S. and U.K. on November 15 and will begin streaming on Disney+ on December 13.
