**Actor Jonathan Joss Fatally Shot Amid Feud, Suspect Confesses**

In a tragic turn of events, actor Jonathan Joss was shot and killed on Sunday in San Antonio, with the suspect, Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez, confessing to the crime almost immediately upon his arrest, according to a police report.

The incident occurred in the 200 block of Dorsey Drive on the South Side of San Antonio. Joss, aged 59, had traveled from Austin with a woman and another individual to check his mail at his childhood home, which he lost in a fire earlier this year. During this visit, Alvarez, 56, arrived and parked directly behind their vehicle, leading to a confrontation between him and Joss.

Witnesses reported that an argument ensued, during which Alvarez allegedly threatened Joss with a gun before fatally shooting him with a rifle. Joss was declared dead at the scene, and Alvarez was taken into custody without resistance, admitting to police, "I shot him." The suspect's weapons were also seized.

Alvarez has been charged with murder and was released on a $200,000 bond on Tuesday. His bond conditions include full house arrest, random drug testing, and a prohibition on possessing firearms. Neighbors revealed that the two men had an ongoing dispute, which had resulted in previous police reports.

In an emotional Facebook post, Joss's partner, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, recounted the distressing events leading up to the shooting. Upon arriving at the property, they discovered the skull and harness of one of their dogs, causing significant emotional turmoil. Kern de Gonzales claimed that Alvarez approached them, shouted homophobic slurs, and then opened fire.

Although Joss's partner believes the actor's sexual orientation played a role in the incident, the San Antonio police have stated that there is no evidence to support this claim. However, details of the argument that escalated into the shooting remain sparse.

The dispute between Joss and Alvarez wasn't new. A police report from June 8, 2024, detailed a previous altercation where Alvarez accused Joss of walking outside his home with a crossbow, although officers did not find Joss in possession of any weapons at the time. Alvarez had also alleged that Joss harassed him and his brother on several occasions.
