Claire Danes to Star in Netflix Limited Series 'The Beast in Me' Reuniting with Showrunner Howard Gordon

The series marks a reunion between Danes and showrunner Howard Gordon, who previously collaborated on the immensely popular Showtime series "Homeland." Gordon, known for his work on shows like "24" and "The X-Files," will serve as showrunner and executive producer on the new series.
"The Beast in Me," created and written by Gabe Rotter, follows the story of acclaimed author Aggie Wiggs, portrayed by Danes. After the tragic loss of her young son, Aggie has withdrawn from public life and is unable to write. However, her life takes a captivating turn when a renowned real estate mogul named Nile Sheldon moves in next door. Sheldon was once the main suspect in his wife's mysterious disappearance. Intrigued yet terrified, Aggie embarks on a journey to uncover the truth, finding herself caught in a dangerous game of cat and mouse.
Rotter, who most recently worked on the "The X-Files" revival at Fox, is credited as the creator, writer, and executive producer of "The Beast in Me." In addition to her starring role, Danes will also executive produce the series. Daniel Pearle, Conan O'Brien, Jeff Ross, David Kissinger, and Jodie Foster are among the executive producers on board. The series is being produced by 20th Television.
