However, her life takes a captivating turn when a renowned real estate mogul named Nile Sheldon moves in next door. Sheldon was once the main suspect in his wife's mysterious disappearance. Intrigued yet terrified, Aggie embarks on a journey to uncover the truth, finding herself caught in a dangerous game of cat and mouse.

Rotter, who most recently worked on the "The X-Files" revival at Fox, is credited as the creator, writer, and executive producer of "The Beast in Me." In addition to her starring role, Danes will also executive produce the series. Daniel Pearle, Conan O'Brien, Jeff Ross, David Kissinger, and Jodie Foster are among the executive producers on board. The series is being produced by 20th Television.
