In a surprising turn of events, Billy Ray Cyrus has filed an emergency motion in his divorce case with singer Firerose, seeking a temporary restraining order to prevent her from using his personal and business credit cards and accounts without authorization. The 62-year-old country singer, known for his hit song "Achy Breaky Heart," filed for divorce from Firerose, who was born Johanna Rose Hodges, on May 22, citing "irreconcilable differences" and "inappropriate marital conduct."

According to documents obtained by People magazine, Cyrus alleged that Firerose made 37 unauthorized charges totaling $96,986 on his business account. These charges reportedly included $70,665 in payments to her own attorneys. Cyrus expressed concerns that Firerose may have access to other sensitive information that could lead to fraudulent charges on his personal and business credit cards and accounts.

Firerose's response to the emergency motion claimed that there was no emergency and stated that she had been granted access to Cyrus' American Express card since June 2022. Her attorneys argued that the couple should continue living as they did during their marriage and that Cyrus had no right to cut her off from financial support.

According to People, Cyrus stated in his motion that he and Firerose did not have any joint accounts, credit cards, or real estate. He also claimed that Firerose owned real estate in Los Angeles worth more than seven figures and had access to over $500,000 in liquid and investment assets.

The couple, who started dating in 2022 after years of friendship, got engaged later that year and tied the knot in October 2023. Following their wedding, Firerose allegedly continued to use Cyrus' cards with his permission, with the couple routinely reviewing her expenses on that card.

Cyrus, who has previously been married to Cindy Smith from 1986 to 1991 and Tish Cyrus from 1993 to 2002, reached an agreement with Firerose in court. The agreement called for Firerose to vacate his home immediately, with Cyrus providing financial support for 90 days or until the dissolution of their marriage, whichever comes first.

As of now, representatives for both Cyrus and Firerose have declined to comment on the restraining order. The court proceedings and the resolution of the divorce case remain ongoing.
