Country music legend Alan Jackson has announced an extension to his "Last Call: One More for the Road Tour" as he continues to battle major health issues. The iconic singer-songwriter, who initially kicked off his farewell tour in 2022, is determined to give his fans one final chance to witness his captivating performances of his best-loved songs.

In a statement released via his website, Jackson expressed his gratitude to his loyal fans, stating, "Fans know when they come to my shows, they're going to hear the songs that made me who I am - the ones they love. I've been touring for over 30 years, and while I'm enjoying spending more time at home, my fans always show up to have a good time, and I'm going to give them the best show I can for this 'Last Call.'"

The "Last Call: One More for the Road Tour" serves as a poignant opportunity for Jackson's fans to experience his timeless music in concert. It is a chance to create lasting memories as Jackson reminisces about his illustrious career.

This extended farewell tour comes just one year after Jackson candidly revealed his battle with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a degenerative nerve condition that affects his motor skills. Jackson was diagnosed with this genetic disease in 2011 and has since been coping with its impact on his physical abilities.

Opening up about his condition during a "Today" show interview, Jackson shared, "I have this neuropathy and neurological disease. It's genetic that I inherited from my daddy. There's no cure for it, but it's been affecting me for years. And it's getting more and more obvious." His struggles with balance and self-consciousness on stage due to the disease have been challenging for the renowned performer.

Despite these setbacks, Jackson remains determined to bring joy to his fans through his music. In a recent appearance on his daughter Mattie Jackson's "In Joy Life" podcast, he revealed plans to release new music. "I'm always scribbling down ideas and thinking about melodies... I feel like there'll be some more music to come, yes," he shared. Writing songs holds a special place in his heart, and he finds it more fulfilling than anything else. The creative process keeps him engaged and interested, constantly challenging him to create something new.

In November 2022, Jackson received the prestigious Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 56th Annual Country Music Association Awards, highlighting his unparalleled contributions to the genre.

As Alan Jackson extends his farewell tour, his fans eagerly await the opportunity to celebrate his remarkable career and bid him a fond farewell. Despite his health challenges, Jackson's indomitable spirit and love for music continue to shine through.
