Seattle Seahawks Reportedly Add Offensive Coordinator Ryan Grubb to Coaching Staff

In the midst of assembling his coaching staff, Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald has reportedly brought on offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb. While the team has yet to make an official announcement regarding their new coaching hires, Macdonald spoke about Grubb in an exclusive conversation with Seattle Sports' Brock and Salk.

Grubb previously served as the offensive coordinator for the University of Washington Huskies, overseeing their high-scoring offense over the past two seasons. Despite the departure of former Washington coach Kalen DeBoer to Alabama, Grubb has opted to remain in Seattle. Macdonald expressed his admiration for Grubb, highlighting his track record of success and his ability to rebuild team culture.

"(Grubb has) been on my radar, watching his team perform throughout the season and obviously thinking that a situation like this might come about," said Macdonald. "And then getting to know him throughout the process and the type of guy he is - you know, he's been a winner everywhere he's been."

Macdonald also shared insights into his collaboration with Seahawks general manager John Schneider during his first few weeks on the job. Despite the perception that they hadn't been working on their coaching staff, Macdonald revealed that they had been diligently focused on assembling the right personnel.

"We have been working on our staff the whole time, so we're going through the process," Macdonald explained. "It's a long process, but it's been a great process trying to find the right guys to come in and coach our team."

During the interview, Macdonald also discussed two other reported coaching additions: defensive coordinator Aden Durde and assistant head coach Leslie Frazier. As the Seahawks finalize their staff, fans eagerly await the official confirmation of these hires and the unveiling of a new era under Macdonald.
