In a recent development, the NFL has launched an investigation into the Atlanta Falcons regarding rookie running back Bijan Robinson's undisclosed health issues. During Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Robinson did not make an appearance until the first quarter had just two minutes remaining. Coach Arthur Smith, speaking to FOX at halftime, revealed that Robinson had been feeling unwell.

Addressing the issue on Monday, Smith reassured the media that Robinson "will be fine." However, Robinson himself stated after the game that he had been experiencing headaches and had felt "weird" since Saturday night, struggling to sleep and waking up feeling disoriented.

Despite taking medication in an attempt to alleviate his symptoms, Robinson's headaches persisted. He also mentioned that he had not undergone any concussion testing or received a COVID-19 test. It is notable that Robinson was not present during the open media session in the locker room on Monday.

According to sources, the Falcons initially believed that Robinson would be fit to play the game and therefore did not deem it necessary to include him on the injury report. However, the NFL's questioning suggests that the league does not share that interpretation.

Robinson himself stated that he never entertained the idea of sitting out of Sunday's 16-13 victory, but his playing time was limited to just 11 snaps without any targets except for a 3-yard run on the final drive, setting up the game-winning field goal by Younghoe Koo.

When questioned about Robinson's sudden appearance towards the end of the game, Coach Smith explained that it was a situational decision in a two-minute scenario that ultimately contributed positively to the team's strategy.
