Giants quarterback Tyrod Taylor has been released from a New Jersey hospital after suffering a rib injury during the team's overtime loss against the Jets on Sunday. The precise nature of the injury has not been disclosed, but Taylor's recovery will be week-to-week, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Taylor, who had been starting for the Giants in the absence of Daniel Jones due to a neck injury, was replaced by rookie Tommy DeVito during Sunday's game. DeVito struggled to find success through the air, completing only two passes for a loss of one yard in overtime after going 0-for-4 in regulation.

In better news for the Giants, it has been announced that Jones has now been cleared for contact and will likely return as the starting quarterback for the upcoming game against the Raiders. Jones' recovery puts him back in the spotlight after missing the last few games due to his neck injury.

The loss of Taylor is certainly a setback for the Giants, as he had been showing promise during his three straight starts. However, the team will now turn its focus to Jones as they hope he can lead them to victory against the Raiders this week.

It remains to be seen how long Taylor will be out with his rib injury, but his absence will undoubtedly be felt by the Giants. As the team navigates through this challenging time, they will be relying on the experienced leadership of Jones to guide them back to success on the field.
